Philip Augustine
Philip Augustine was a litigation lawyer in Ottawa Ontario for over 40 years. He has made countless presentations in court, at arbitrations and legal conferences. Phil has a passionate interest in legal history and biography. He has been a speaker at numerous events on a wide variety of historical topics. He was a speaker at a ceremony in Sydney Nova Scotia to unveil a statue honouring Sara Corning (a Canadian nurse who worked in an international setting in the early 20th century). He made a detailed presentation at an event marking the 100 anniversary of the destruction of the City of Smyrna in Asia Minor (now Turkey). He spoke at an event honouring the 80th anniversary of the massacre at Kalavryta, Greece. Phil has done a massive amount of research and writing concerning the five major cases which are at the core of Victorian Justice. He has also read and synthesized detailed archival material concerning the life and times of the two lead characters in the series. The scripts co-written by Phil as part of this series have been recognized with a variety of awards and Phil is determined to bring these stories to modern audiences through intelligent and entertaining television.
Alexandra Augustine
Alexandra Augustine is a multi-hyphenate in the entertainment industry in Canada. Beginning her career as an actor over a decade ago, Alexandra has appeared in various film and television series, Ruby and the Well (BYUTV) What We Do In the Shadows (FX), Fatal Family Reunion (Lifetime), The Good Witch (Hallmark) In The Dark (The CW) to name a few.
In 2020, Alexandra was hired as a director for worldwide YouTube channel Dating Beyond Borders, which began her directorial debut. She has since directed short films and music videos, including Movie Night which was selected in many festivals, and won Best Romantic Comedy by Canada’s: Yes Let’s Make a Movie Film Festival and was selected to be part of the Toronto Short Film Festival. Alexandra’s writing has garnered awards and finalist positions from various international festivals including Scriptwriters and Co International Festival, Reel HeART and Sunvale.
Additionally, she is the front woman of mainstream rock n’ roll band: My Own Addiction where she writes lyrics and melodies for the band, whose music has been played on international radio and has reached over 51 countries. She aspires to tell stories in whatever medium she can, all the while allowing people to be seen, heard and inspired.
